"Poschi is a prime example of the the TSG system at work," club sporting director Alexander Rosen said in a statement released by Hoffenheim, "He Transferred to our academy as a youngster, he found his way into our professional team via the U19s. He is now the academy player with the most Bundesliga appearances at TSG, having played 109 games, and is an integral part of the Austrian national team."

"Poschi has made a name for himself here as a reliable and uncompromising defender who is also highly regarded in the locker room," Rosen continued, "As things haven't been going optimally for him in recent weeks, we've acceded to his wish for a change of scenery after intensive deliberations. We wish him all the best in the Italian Serie A."
