Since Ralph Hasenhüttl stepped down as the head coach of RB Leipzig at the end of last season, he has been linked with various clubs in Germany.

However, according to Sport Bild, he is now likely to continue his career in England as he is set to be appointed the new manager of Southampton.

At St. Mary's Stadium, Hasenhüttl could replace Mark Hughes who lost his job as the club's manager earlier on Monday.

Hasenhüttl, 51, spent two seasons at RB Leipzig. The Austrian coach guided 'Die Roten Bullen' to an impressive second-place finish in the 2016/17 season while the team ended the 2017/18 season in sixth place.
