Neuhaus avoids serious injury, Itakura now sidelined

Gladbach released a statement sharing that while Florian Neuhaus luckily did not tear his ACL, Ko Itakura is now also injured.
After fearing Florian Neuhaus tore his ACL against SC Freiburg on Matchday 6, Gladbach shared the good news that he suffered a partial rupture of the posterior cruciate ligament. This means the midfielder is likely only out for a few weeks. Central defender Ko Itakura, who has been suspended, partially tore his left knee in a training session.

Itakura has impressed to start the year, but could now be out until the World Cup. Both players do not require surgery, but this badly hurts for a Gladbach side who are already without Alassane Plea and Nico Elvedi.

Gladbach play at home to RB Leipzig on Saturday.
