Fischer: "For me that was youth football"
Urs Fischer was not a happy man after Union's disastrous defeat to Leverkusen, but tried to turn attention to the English week ahead.
Following Union's shocking 5-0 loss to Leverkusen, Rani Khedira told DAZN that the game was "sh**" and a "total failure."
Urs Fischer said, "For me that was youth football. If you look like this, then it's 5-0 in the Bundesliga. - The team did so well in 2022 that we discussed this (impending) defeat for a long time."
Union quickly return home to play Augsburg on Wednesday and Khedira commented, "On Wednesday we want to make up for this total failure and give our fans a nice conclusion."
Fischer wants "a physical game" against the Bavarian club. Adding, "We have to regenerate well now."
