Amine Harit, who's on his second consecutive loan at Marseille, played in their win over Lyon this past weekend. With 15 games now under his belt on the season, Harit is officially no longer on the Schalke books.

The newly-promoted side did everything possible to avoid paying the Moroccan international's unaffordable €5.5 million salary in the summer. They agreed this loan deal and obligation to purchase option with the French club at the last minute and are now getting some much-needed cash.

Schalke will receive €3.5 million for the move, while Harit and his representatives will receive €1.5 million of the previously agreed upon €5 million fee.

New Sporting Director Peter Knäbel said this is "good news for all of Schalke" and "it eases our situation a little."

With this new money, Schalke will undoubtedly hit the winter window hard for some reinforcements.
