"I am very, very happy in Spain, I have never hidden that," Sørloth recently confided to Norway's Dagbladet. If there is a permanent move, I will be very, very happy."
Turkish journalist Ekrem Konur, writing on twitter, confirms that the Basque club does wish to permanently purchase the 45-times-capped international. According to multiple media reports, however, there isn't actually a purchase clause built into Sørloth's current loan arrangement.
Leipzig will certainly wish to recoup some of the recored €20 million they paid during a complex triple-club tug-of-war back in the autumn of 2020. The player's current estimated market value has fallen to an estimated €10 million in the latest transfermarkt listings.
Sociedad may find newly appointed RB sporting director Max Eberl a tough negotiator in the months to come.
