Kicker Report: Stuttgart negotiating sale of Tibidi

Germany's preeminent footballing publication reports that VfB Stuttgart are considering selling French youth international Alexis Tibidi as a means of raising some quick revenue.
VfB Stuttgart developmental prospect Alexis Tibidi has spent the season on loan in Austria at SCR Altach. Under the tutelage of his head-coach, German footballing legend Miroslav Klose, the 19-year-old has been thriving. Germany's Kicker magazine reports that after scoring five goals and notching an assist for Klose, some other clubs are taking an interest in the teenage attacker.

Tibidi was initially lured to Württemberg as a highly touted young prospect. The Lille native made 13 Bundesliga appearances under previous VfB trainer Pellegrino Matarazzo, who initially showed great faith in the youngster. Matarazzo eventually dropped him out of his selection, citing disciplinary issues and work ethic.

Kicker reports that ES Troyes AC are interested in bringing Tibidi back to France. The German publication notes that "negotiations are underway" for a transfer fee in the €2-3 million range. Kicker also states that there are "other clubs" apparently interested in acquiring the player for around that amount.

The sum would constitute a big transfer win for the Swabian side. Stuttgart procured Tibidi on a free from the Toulouse juniors in the summer of 2021. A multi-million Euro sum could also Stuttgart to complete some purchases in the current transfer window, quite possibly that of sought-after Wolfsburg midfielder Joshua Guilavogui.
