Bayern Munich coach Julian Nagelsmann has reflected on his team's Champions League draw.

Today's draw pitted Nagelsmann's side against Manchester City, with either Real Madrid or Chelsea waiting in the semifinals should the German champions advance.

"It's a good, challenging draw. You can't say we were lucky with the draw when we win the Champions League. The group stage was difficult, then PSG, City and Real or Chelsea in the semis. It would be an extremely valuable triumph. Real won it last year, we want to do it this year. It gives me a lot of energy and anticipation.

On the prospect of facing former Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland, who scored five goals in City's 7-0 thrashing of Leipzig earlier this week, Nagelsmann said:

"He is an exceptionally good player who is extremely dangerous as we saw again recently. He has extreme quality in terms of speed and physicality. He's uncomfortable to defend. But we also have some good offensive players."
