RB Leipzig want to make Timo Werner their top earner

Bayern München and Liverpool target Timo Werner will reportedly be made the top earner at RB Leipzig if he decides to extend his contract.
Timo Werner will be RB Leipzig's top earner if he signs a new deal with 'Die Roten Bullen'. According to Bild, the striker has been offered a new contract worth €6 million a year.

However, with the likes of Bayern München, Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund reported to be interested in Werner, whose current deal runs until 2020, the German international has hesitated until now.

At the beginning of January, RB Leipzig CEO Oliver Mintzlaff underlined that Werner will be sold in the summer if he doesn't sign a new contract first.

According to Bild, RB Leipzig now fear that the uncertainty about Werner's future could have a negative influence on his performances, because the 21-year-old is considered sensitive and inconsistent.

At the moment, the ball is in Werner's court.

"I don't ask him every two days. But it's clear that it's his turn," RB Leipzig sporting director and head coach Ralf Rangnick told Bild.
