Report: Bochum may be without Riemann against Stuttgart

VfL Bochum beat reporter Philipp Rentsch reports that VfL keeper Manuel Riemann had to break off training today and escorted hobbling into the locker room by team physios.
VfL Bochum may be without their first-choice keeper in a crucial relegation encounter against last-placed Stuttgart tomorrow. Philipp Rentsch of Bochum's "Tief Im Westen" fan magazine and the Deutche Presse Agentur reports that Manuel Riemann had to break off training today with what looked to be a serious injury.

Riemann has started all 26 of Bochu's league encounters this season as well as all three Pokal fixtures. Back-ups Michael Esser (35), Marko Johansson (24), and Paul Grave (21) have not seen a minute of action. Opponents VfB Stuttgart have their own issues between the sticks after previous trainer Bruno Labbadia elevated back-up Fabian Bredlow to the #1 spot; to mixed effect.

New VfB trainer Sebastian Hoeneß has publicly committed to starting Bredlow, saying that he simply hasn't had enough time in charge since being appointed on Monday to delve into the team's goalkeeping situation.
