Bayern Munich are apparently attempting a late swoop to hijack Granit Xhaka's move from Arsenal to Bayer Leverkusen.

According to Swiss publication 4-4-2.ch, the Bavarians have offered the 31-year-old midfielder a three-year deal with an option for a further season.

However, Xhaka is still said to prefer a move to Bayer Leverkusen, who have been linked with him for some time.

According to Sky Germany, Bayern are not focusing on the 31-year-old Swiss international at the moment, as their priority is to sign Declan Rice from West Ham United.

Xhaka, who has one year left on his current deal, has strongly hinted at a summer move away from Arsenal on Instagram, posting a picture of himself waving with the caption "Nothing but love for you all".
