Whilst RB Leipzig find themselves engaged in a game of poker for Feyenoord right-back Lutsharel Geertruida, another Bundesliga side is said to be preparing an offer for the other right back on the roster of the Dutch champions. VfL Wolfsburg - known to be potentially looking to part company with German fullback/winger Ridle Baku - are on the lookout for a player who, similar to Baku, can be relied upon farther up the pitch.

Norwegian international Marcus Holmgren Pedersen was able to earn 40 appearances for Feyenoord across all competitions last season precisely because of his ability to work higher up ahead of Geertrudia on the wing. The 22-year-old has been linked with several Bundesliga sides since transferring from FK Molde to the Eredivisie in 2021.

Pedersen has increased his estimated market worth from €500,000 to €7 million since making the switch to Holland nearly two years ago. Feyenoord's "1908.nl" fan portal reports that Wolfsburg have stepped up their concrete interest in the player in recent days and even that a concrete offer is being prepared. Eintracht Frankfurt were also once linked with a swoop for the Hammerfest-native.
