Multiple sources - including Italian transfer guru Fabrizio Romano - currently report that Bayer 04 Leverkusen fullback/wingback Mitchel Bakker is on the verge of signing for Atalanta Bergamo.
Interestingly enough, it appears as if Il Nerazzurri are also about pick up another German football familiar as well.

A transfer fee will certainly be due for Bakker, who just completed a largely successful campaign for Leverkusen and maintains an estimated market worth of €9 million. Despite the fact that Bakker collected six scorer-points in 40 appearances for Bayer across all competitions, "die Werkself" were long thought to be seeking an upgrade. One has already been obtained free-of-charge in the form of Alejandro Grimaldo.
Romano also reports that Atalanta are poised to sign Karlsruhe native Sead Kolasinac on a free from Olympique de Marseille. The former German youth international worked through the Karlsruhe, Hoffenheim, and Stuttgart academy ranks before breaking through with FC Schalke 04. He was last seen in the Bundesliga during Schalke's ill-fated 2020/21 demotion campaign on loan from Arsenal.
