Wolfsburg sporting director Jörg Schmadtke has confirmed the club will part company with Paul Verhaegh and Sebastian Jung at the end of this season.

Both defenders are out of contract in the summer, and 'Die Wölfe' have decided not to extend their cooperation with any of them.

"I have told them that their time at VfL Wolfsburg will not continue and that they should start looking for a new club," Schmadtke said to Bild.

Verhaegh, 35, has made 36 appearances for Wolfsburg since he joined the club from Augsburg in 2017.

Jung, 28, joined Wolfsburg from Eintracht Frankfurt in 2014 and has played 54 games for 'Die Wölfe'.
