Top 10 - most scoring German World Cup players
We take a look at the German legends who have scored the most World Cup goals.
With 16 World Cup goals, Miroslav Klose is not only the most scoring German, but the most scoring player of all time in terms of World Cup goals. Klose scored five goals in 2002 and five goals in 2006 when he won the Golden Boot. In 2010, he netted four times, and finally, he scored twice in 2014 before he announced his international retirement. Curiously, Germany have never lost a match in which Klose has scored.
Gerd Müller, by most people regarded as the best German striker ever, comes in at second place on this list with 14 goals in just two World Cup tournaments. Müller netted 10 times in 1970 and scored four goals in 1974.
Jürgen Klinsmann grabs the third place with 11 goals while Thomas Müller, who comes in at fourth place along with Helmut Rahn, is the only current German international on the list.
