Here are our Fantasy Bundesliga picks for Matchday 31.
Marcel Halstenberg (defender), RB Leipzig - 14.3M
RB Leipzig have been in oustanding form lately - and so has Marcel Halstenberg. The left-back scored both RB Leipzig's goals (one of them from the penalty spot) in the 2-1 win over Gladbach on Matchday 30 and produced two assists in the 3-1 win over Hamburger SV in the DFB-Pokal on Tuesday. With fixtures against Freiburg and Mainz coming up, the 27-year-old looks like a great pick.
Marco Richter (striker), FC Augsburg - 7.1M
Augsburg have impressed since Martin Schmidt took over as head coach from Manuel Baum, having won their first two games under the former Mainz coach (3-1 against Frankfurt and 6-0 against Stuttgart). With Alfred Finnbogason ruled out until the end of the season, Marco Richter is expected to play in the striker position in the remaining fixtures. The 21-year-old has scored four goals in his last two games and will look to continue his great form against Bayer Leverkusen on Friday. And while it isn't exactly an easy game for Augsburg, Martin Schmidt's troops look likely to score even if they don't win. Leverkusen may not have conceded any goals in their last two games, but have shown big defensive weaknesses in previous games. Another great option from Augsburg is Philipp Max (defender, 12.7M). The 25-year-old netted twice on Matchday 30 and plays as a left midfielder.
Karim Onisiwo (striker), Mainz - 4.7M
The 27-year-old will be looking to continue his outstanding form when Mainz face relegation-threatened Hannover 96 away from home. Onisiwo has definitely been one of Mainz's best players in recent weeks, having scored two goals and made two assists in his last three games. Priced at just 4.7 million, he looks worth taking a punt on - even if Mainz's fixtures beyond the upcoming game aren't great. If you're willing to spend a little more, you could bring in Jean-Philippe Mateta (striker, 9.4M) who has scored five goals in his last three appearances.
Nadiem Amiri (midfielder), Hoffenheim - 8.7M
Hoffenheim have won their last four games convincingly, and their remaining fixtures - (Wolfsburg (H), Gladbach (A), Werder (H), Mainz (A) - don't look too bad. With two goals and one assist in his last two games, Nadiem Amiri seems to have found his form, and he could be a nice differential for the rest of the season. Another great option from Hoffenheim is Ishak Belfodil (striker, 11.9M) whom we have already recommended a number of times. The striker is arguably the Bundesliga's most in-form player at the moment, having scored seven goals in his last four games.
