1. Lucas Hernandez, from Atlético Madrid to Bayern München (€80 million)
Bayern München smashed their transfer record and made Lucas Hernandez the most expensive Bundesliga signing of all time as they triggered his €80 million release clause. Expectations are huge for the French World Cup winner who has been singled out as the best centre-back in the Bundesliga by Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge. Hernandez, who can also play at left-back, may need some time to reach his top form, though, as he is currently working on making his return after undergoing a knee operation at the end of March.

2. Xaver Schlager, from Red Bull Salzburg to VfL Wolfsburg (€15 million)
The energetic Austrian international is set to play a key role in central midfield for Oliver Glasner's Wolfsburg side. The 21-year-old has been an important player for Red Bull Salzburg for the past few seasons and will be eager to continue his development and take the next step in Germany.

3. Moussa Diaby, from Paris Saint-Germain to Bayer 04 Leverkusen (€15 million)
Diaby came through the youth ranks at Paris Saint-Germain and quite impressively made 34 appearances with four goals and seven assists to his name during the 2018/19 campaign. Despite putting in some impressive performances in France, the lightning-quick winger was allowed to leave, and he will now be aiming to make a name for himself in Germany.

4. Christopher Nkunku, from Paris-Saint Germain to RB Leipzig (€13 million)
Just like Diaby, Nkunku is a product of PSG's youth development who has moved to Germany from the French capital. Despite the huge competition for places at PSG, the 21-year-old attacking midfielder made as many as 78 appearances for the French champions, scoring 11 goals and making four assists.

5. Stefan Lainer, from Red Bull Salzburg to Borussia Mönchengladbach (€12 million)
Gladbach have hired a new coach in Marco Rose who has made the switch to Borussia-Park from Red Bull Arena - and he has taken Stefan Lainer with him to Germany. The powerful right-back has been an important player in Salzburg for years, contributing with 13 goals and 34 assists in 171 appearances, and is set to play a key role as Rose will be looking to impose his philosophy at Gladbach.

6. Robert Skov, from FC Copenhagen to Hoffenheim (€10 million)
Skov enjoyed a fantastic campaign with FC Copenhagen last season as he netted 30 times in 34 league appearances, thus breaking the record of scoring most goals over the course of a season in the Danish Superliga. Well-known in Denmark for his free-kicks and stunning left foot, the midfielder could prove to be an important player for Hoffenheim once he adjusts to the Bundesliga.

7. Marcus Thuram, from EA Guingamp to Borussia Mönchengladbach (€9 million)
Marcus Thuram - the son of French World Cup winner Lilian Thuram - has joined Gladbach after an impressive campaign for French outfit EA Guingamp for whom he netted 13 times in 38 appearances last season. The 21-year-old - a tall striker who likes to dribble - is expected to compete with Breel Embolo to start up top for 'Die Fohlen' alongside Alassane Plea.

8. Daley Sinkgraven, from Ajax to Bayer 04 Leverkusen (€5 million)
Sinkgraven, who was a first-team regular at Ajax under Peter Bosz in 2016/17 season that saw the Dutch outfit reach the Europa League final, has now been reunited with his former coach at Bayer Leverkusen. Following a long injury spell, Sinkgraven struggled to reclaim his place in Ajax's line-up, but he now has the chance of rediscovering his old form in Germany under a coach who obviously believes in him.

9. Dejan Joveljic, from Red Star Belgrade to Eintracht Frankfurt (€4 million)
The 19-year-old has some big shoes to fill, having been brought to Frankfurt succeed his Serbian compatriot Luka Jovic who has joined Real Madrid. Joveljic - who has been a described as a very mobile, versatile striker with lethal finishing skills - isn't too fond of being compared with Jovic, though.

"Luka's a top guy and a fantastic striker, but you mustn't forget I'm two years younger. Maybe I reach his level in the future, but fundamentally I don't want to be compared to anyone," Joveljic told Bundesliga.com.

10. Joao Victor, from LASK Linz to VfL Wolfsburg (€3.5 million)
New Wolfsburg coach Oliver Glasner has taken Joao Victor - a quick winger with an eye for goal - with him to Germany from his former employer LASK Linz. The Brazilian winger emerged as one of the Austria outfit's most prolific players during Glasner's tenure at the club, and after a strong pre-season, he's now looking to take the next step in his development in Germany.
