Budget options

If you're looking for a cheap player for your forward line, Josh Sargent (Werder Bremen, 4M) looks like a very good option. The young striker is expected to play much more this season and offers Niclas Füllkrug serious competition to start up top for 'The Green-Whites' from the start of the new season.

Priced at 6 million, RB Leipzig's Jean-Kevin Augustin is also a player worth keeping tabs on, although he may not be the most clear-cut option from the start of the season. After an underwhelming 2019/19 season, the undoubtedly talented striker has worked very hard on returning to top form, and he could get to play a bigger role under Julian Nagelsmann - particularly if Timo Werner will leave the club.

There's also 19-year-old Dejan Joveljić (Frankfurt, 7M) who has some big shoes to fill out after being been signed to succeed his Serbian compatriot Luka Jovic at Eintracht Frankfurt. Joveljic has already found the net for 'Die Adler' and is considered a player with huge potential, and with his low price-tag, he could be worth taking a punt on.

Mid-price options

Our first recommendation in this price range is Goncalo Paciencia (Frankfurt, 9M). The Portuguese forward grew in importance for Frankfurt towards the end of last season, and with Sebastien Haller and Luka Jovic having departed Commerzbank-Arena, his responsibility has grown further. Paciencia has looked really sharp in pre-season, and priced at just 9M, he could be a steal.

Alassane Pléa (Gladbach, 12M) will be eager to rediscover the form he showed in his impressive first half of last season. Plea is set to be Gladbach's main striker under Marco Rose, who is known for his offensive philosophy, so he should get plenty of chances to rack up goals.

Milot Rashica (Werder Bremen, 12M) could prove to be an excellent acquisition as well. The 23-year-old had a very impressive 2018/19 campaign, scoring nine goal and making five assists in 26 league appearances, and he's likely to be even better this season.

Considering Wolfsburg's tasty opening fixtures, Wout Weghorst looks like a very good option as well. The hard-working striker, who costs 13 million, played a key role for 'Die Wölfe' last season, scoring 17 goals in his first Bundesliga campaign, and there is no reason why he shouldn't continue his fine form under new Wolfsburg coach Oliver Glasner.

Premium options

Paco Alcacer (Borussia Dortmund, 14M) scored plenty of goals for Dortmund last season, but struggled to nail down a starting berth, partly due to ongoing injury and fitness problems. BVB boss Hans-Joachim Watzke has backed Alcacer to be even stronger this season, because he has taken part in the full pre-season, and the 25-year-old certainly looked sharp in his team's 2-0 win against Bayern München in the Super Cup, clinically scoring BVB's first goal from the edge of the area.

Timo Werner (RB Leipzig, 15M) simply guarantees goals, and it would be really interesting to see what new RB Leipzig coach Julian Nagelsmann could get out of the 23-year-old. But, obviously, much depends on whether he stays at Red Bull Arena or not.

Robert Lewandowski (Bayern München, 18M) is the most obvious pick in this price range. The Polish international's statistics speak for themselves, and there is no doubt he will score plenty of goals for your team. The question, of course, is if it's worth spending 18 million on one player.
