Frankfurt boss confirms Dost signing is imminent
Bas Dost is still expected to join Eintracht Frankfurt, says club boss Fredi Bobic.
Eintracht Frankfurt are on the verge of completing a deal to sign Bas Dost from Sporting CP, club boss Fredi Bobic has revealed in an interview with Sky Germany.
According to the German media outlet, only minor details remain to be sorted out.
"The negotiations with Sporting haven't been easy. But with Sporting, it's never easy," Bobic told Sky.
Frankfurt announced on Saturday that they were in advanced talks to land the Dutch striker.
Sporting CP since claimed that Dost's 'last-minute financial demands' prevented the transfer from being completed, but the striker's agent was quick to deny the accusation.
Dost, 30, joined Sporting CP from VfL Wolfsburg in 2016.
