Werder Bremen are on the verge of completing a deal to sign Michael Lang from Borussia Mönchengladbach, according to Deichstube.

The right-back is expected to cost around €2,5 million and is set to put pen to paper on a contract until 2022, as per the report.

Werder sporting director Frank Baumann has said the club will 'definitely' sign a new full-back before the transfer window closes..

Meanwhile, Lang recently described Werder Bremen as a 'super club' in an interview with Express.de.

The 28-year-old joined Gladbach from Basel in 2018 and made 18 appearances for 'Die Fohlen' last season.
