Germany defeated by the Netherlands in goal-fest

Germany dropped points for the first time in their Euro 2020 qualification campaign as they were beaten 2-4 by the Netherlands at Volksparkstadion in Hamburg tonight.
'Die Mannschaft' looked happy to defend and counterattack from the start of the game and allowed the Dutch guests to dominate possession.
And Joachim Löw's tactics seemed to work well initially, with Serge Gnabry scoring the opener from the rebound with eight minutes on the clock after Jasper Cillessen saved an attempt from Lukas Klostermann who was played in behind by Joshua Kimmich.
The Netherlands pulled one back with 58 minutes on the clock when Ryan Babel crossed the ball to Frenkie de Jong who got the better off Nico Schulz in the penalty area before slotting the ball past Manuel Neuer.
Ronald Koeman's troops went ahead eight minutes later when Jonathan Tah scored an own goal after Germany failed to deal with a corner.
Germany cancelled out the score minutes later when Toni Kroos scored a dubious penalty that was awarded after the ball hit Matthijs de Ligt's hand.
But the Netherlands responded with another goal after 79 minutes when Donyell Malen made it 3-2 in his international debut after Georginio Wijnaldum found the youngster with a clever pass.
Wijnaldum also got on the scoresheet himself in injury time as he finished off a sweeping counter-attack to make it 4-2.
