RB Leipzig stunned by Selke and ten-men Hertha

Davie Selke scored twice against his former club as Hertha Berlin's 10 men beat RB Leipzig at the Red Bull Arena.
Hertha Berlin ended 2017 in style as they beat RB Leipzig 3-2 away from home in the last Bundesliga game of the year. The former RB Leipzig forward Davie Selke, who beforehand said that he would celebrate if he scored, netted twice.

Selke already made it 1-0 after five minutes as he sent the ball into the top corner with a fine finish after a cross from Alexander Esswein.

Shortly after, Hertha were reduced two ten men as Jordan Torunarigha was sent off after he brought down Timo Werner in a dangerous position. But that didn't stop the guests from making it 2-0 as Salomon Kalou headed the ball into the net after a free-kick cross.

In the second half, another set piece led to Hertha's third goal as Davie Selke made it 3-0 after a corner.

With 68 minutes on the clock, Willi Orban got RB Leipzig a goal when he headed the ball into the net.

It looked as if the game would end 1-3, but in the injury time Marcel Halstenberg suddenly made it 2-3. But it was too late for RB Leipzig to more, and Hertha's 10 men got the three points.

Elsewhere, in Hannover, a true goal show took place earlier today in the Bundesliga as Hannover 96 and Bayer Leverkusen drew 4-4.
