Axel Witsel: You should never write off Bayern

"You can never write off a team that has won the championship seven times in a row," says Axel Witsel ahead of Saturday's clash between Bayern München and Borussia Dortmund.
Bayern München have had a somewhat disappointing start to the Bundesliga, sitting fourth in the table after last week's embarrassing 1-5 defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt.

Nevertheless, Borussia Dortmund's Axel Witsel believes you should never write off the Bavarians under any circumstances.

"Maybe they're not in top form right now, and they have to cope without some important defensive players. But with players such as Lewandowski and Coutinho, they're incredibly strong. You can never write off a team that has won the championship seven times in a row," Witsel told Sport Bild and added:

"Just because Bayern don't win every game, it doesn't mean they are weaker. They recently beat Tottenham 7-2 away. Anyway, we should only be focusing on ourselves, because we can actually influence our own performance."

Bayern and Dortmund lock horns at Allianz Arena tonight at 18.30 CET.
