Agent: RB Leipzig are prepared to let Yvon Mvogo find a new club

Yvon Mvogo will be allowed to leave RB Leipzig, his agent says. Schalke 04 are understood to be interested in the goalkeeper.
RB Leipzig are willing to let Yvon Mvogo search for a new club, the goalkeeper's agent, Carlos Crespo, tells Blick.

However, RB Leipzig would prefer to agree a deal with Mvogo that would eventually see him return to Red Bull Arena to succeed Peter Gulacsi as the club's first-choice goalkeeper in the future.

"We have received RB's approval. RB would prefer to extend Yvon's contract and send him out on loan. But in the current situation, we can't find a club like this. Therefore, a loan with a purchase option or a purchase is a possibility as well," Crespo told Blick and added:

"Leipzig would negotiate a preliminary deal with Yvon for the time after the end of the contract with his new club. Because RB want to keep him and see him as successor for Gulacsi."

According to Blick, Mvogo has attracted interest from Schalke 04, who are looking for a replacement for Alexander Nübel.

Mvogo has made just 18 appearances for RB Leipzig following his move to Germany from Young Boys in 2017.
