Emil Forsberg not planning to leave RB Leipzig

Emil Forsberg says he has no intentions of parting ways with RB Leipzig this summer.
Emil Forsberg has made it clear that he's not thinking about leaving RB Leipzig at the moment.

The 28-year-old has slipped down the pecking order this season and has previously been linked with a summer move, but in an interview with Bild, he underlines that a transfer "is not an issue".

"I still have two years left of my contract. We're playing a great season, getting better and better. At the moment, there is no reason to think about anything else," said Forsberg, whose contract with RB Leipzig expires in 2022.

"I don't worry much about the future. I live in the here and now. There are more important things right now than talking about contracts. I didn't sign for five years for nothing. I feel really good. We'll see what the future brings," he added.

Forsberg has played for Leipzig since 2015, when he joined the club from Swedish side Malmö FF.
