After initially reporting that there is currently "no progress at all" in Bayern Munich's negotiations with Joshua Kimmich over a contract extension, AZ has now revealed another interesting piece of information.

According to the Munich-based publication, it was decided at a supervisory board meeting on Monday not to make the Germany captain an improved contract offer.

Kimmich has been told to decide as soon as possible whether or not he wants to accept the club's final proposal.

Should the 30-year-old choose to reject Bayern's latest offer, he could leave the club on a free transfer in the summer when his contract expires.

Kimmich has played for Bayern since 2015, making a total of 426 appearances with 43 goals and 114 assists to his name.
