Fantasy Bundesliga tips: Matchday 27

Here are our Fantasy Bundesliga tips for Matchday 27.
In this Fantasy Bundesliga article, we will not be focusing on the most obvious premium options such as Erling Haaland, Jadon Sancho and Robert Lewandowski. Instead, we will take a look at the players who could offer great value as differentials for Matchday 27.

Goalkeepers:
By partnering Florian Kastenmeier (Fortuna Düsseldorf, 1M) with either Markus Schubert (Schalke 04, 1M) or Andreas Luthe (Augsburg, 1.4M), you would be able to switch between two low-price goalkeepers.

Florian Müller (Mainz, 5.4M) and Timo Horn (FC Köln, 6M) are available for a reasonable price as well, although they are much more expensive than the three goalkeepers mentioned above, of course.

Defenders:
Noah Katterbach (FC Köln, 1M) should be a safe starter and is available for the lowest possible price. Meanwhile, Ismail Jakobs (FC Köln, 1.9M) could possibly return to start on the left wing after missing Köln's 2-2 draw with Mainz.

After being handed a start in Bruno Labbadia's first game in charge as Hertha BSC coach, Peter Pekarik (Hertha BSC, 1.9M) looks set to keep his place in the line-up against Union. The veteran doesn't usually offer that much going forward, but he's cheap, and it's worth noting that he picked up 12 points last week.

If you're willing to invest a little more in a Hertha player, Maximilian Mittelstädt (Hertha BSC, 7.4M) is your guy. Playing as a left midfielder in last week's 3-0 win over Hoffenheim, the 23-year-old was Matchday 26's highest-scoring Fantasy Bundesliga defender along with Bayern München's Benjamin Pavard, picking up 23 points.

If you're more tempted to go for an option from Union, you could look at Christopher Lenz (Union Berlin, 2.6M), who has been a great budget option so far this season.

Paulo Otavio (Wolfsburg, 4.8M) and Kevin Mbabu (Wolfsburg, 9.4M) both had a great game last week, but have a difficult match-up against Borussia Dortmund coming up this time, of course.

After an embarrassing 4-0 loss to local rivals Borussia Dortmund last week, Schalke 04 will be looking to bounce back at home against Augsburg. 'The Royal Blues' have a nice run of fixtures coming up, with games against Fortuna Düsseldorf and Werder Bremen awaiting them after this week's match, so if you believe they can get back on track, Jonjoe Kenny (Schalke 04, 7M) could offer good value for money.

Angelino (RB Leipzig, 8.5M) and RB Leipzig didn't look like their usual selves in their 1-1 draw against Freiburg last week. But as the Manchester City loanee showed before the suspension of the league, he is certainly capable of scoring big on his day.

With Freiburg taking on struggling Werder Bremen at home, Freiburg's wing-backs Jonathan Schmid (Freiburg, 9.3M) and Christian Günter (Freiburg, 13.1M) are intruiguing options. It's safe to say Schmid and Günter have proven themselves in a Fantasy sense in the past, with the latter even being the third-highest scoring defender in the game this season.

After making an assist and scoring a penalty in Gladbach's 3-1 win over Frankfurt on Matchday 26, Ramy Bensebaini (Gladbach, 9.4M) should definitely be on your radar this week. Update: Gladbach coach Marco Rose said during the pre-match press conference that Bensebaini isn't certain to start, with Oscar Wendt also an option for the starting eleven.

Finally, as mentioned further above, Benjamin Pavard (Bayern München, 12.5M) was the highest-scoring Fantasy defender last week along with Hertha's Mittelstädt, and being a safe starter at right-back for Bayern, he is surely also a player worth considering.

Midfielders:
Florian Kainz (FC Köln, 7M) remains an excellent budget option in midfield after he scored in Köln's draw with Mainz last week.

Christoph Baumgartner (Hoffenheim, 7.7M) didn't quite live up to the expectations last week, but if you were one of those who invested in the 20-year-old, it might be a good idea to hold on to him a little longer. Coming out of the game with an expected goals of 1.38, Baumgartner got into plenty of dangerous positions and could have scored with a little more luck.

Kevin Kampl (RB Leipzig, 9.1M) made a convincing return from injury last week, picking up 14 points despite his team's forgettable performance.

Jonas Hofmann (Gladbach, 10.3M) drew attention when he missed a sitter against Eintracht Frankfurt, but despite the fact that he squandered a glorious chance to get on the scoresheet, the 27-year-old actually had a decent game, picking up 13 Fantasy points.

Just like the rest of the Schalke side, Suat Serdar (Schalke 04, 10.7M) had a disappointing game against Borussia Dortmund. But having scored seven goals from his position in central midfield this season, he is surely an option worth considering, especially now that Schalke have a favorable run of fixtures coming up.

If you want to bring in an offensive-minded Freiburg midfielder for their home clash with Werder Bremen, Vincenzo Grifo (Freiburg, 11.7M) seems like the most viable option, although his price tag is a little steep.

Looking at the more expensive differentials in midfield, Raphael Guerreiro (Dortmund, 14.2M) and Kerem Demirbay (Leverkusen, 15.1M) are worth considering after they impressed on Matchday 26.

Strikers:
Vedad Ibisevic (Hertha BSC, 8.3M) and Matheus Cunha (Hertha BSC, 9.2M) both scored last week and will look to continue their good form. The latter was in impressive form prior to the suspension of the Bundesliga and offers good value for money with a price tag of just over 9 million.

Mark Uth (FC Köln, 11.1M) got on the scoresheet last week as well and remains an intriguing option. You could also look at his teammate Jhon Cordoba (FC Köln, 11.9M), who has netted 10 times in the league this season.

Finally, Nils Petersen (Freiburg, 13.4M) has the potential to score big against troubled Werder Bremen, who conceded four goals against Leverkusen on Monday.
