Borussia Mönchengladbach coach Marco Rose has revealed that Marcus Thuram will not be able to feature again this season.

The 22-year-old is sidelined with an ankle injury, which may require surgery.

"There's no chance of him playing again this season. We have even started talking about a potential operation," Rose said after Tuesday's 3-0 win over Wolfsburg.

Alassane Pléa, who is suffering from a muscle injury, is likely to miss the remaining two Bundesliga games as well.

"It's tricky with Alassane. There's almost no chance of him playing on Saturday, and it's hard to see him recovering for the week after, too," Rose said.

In their last two games of the Bundesliga campaign, Gladbach take on Paderborn and Hertha BSC.

'Die Fohlen' currently sit fourth, two points ahead of Bayer Leverkusen, who take on FC Köln on Wednesday.
