RB Leipzig sporting director Markus Krösche says he believes Josko Gvardiol is a 'very, very interesting young player' amid reports that the 18-year-old Dinamo Zagreb defender is close to a move to Red Bull Arena.

"He's a very, very interesting young player, who has a lot of potential, who has come very far for his age and who is interesting for our club," Krösche told reporters on Wednesday.

"We'll see how certain things will develop now," he added.

According to Bild, RB Leipzig are set to sign Gvardiol for €17 million plus a further €2 million in potential add-ons.

Kicker recently claimed that 'Die Roten Bullen' want to let the youngster stay on loan at Dinamo Zagreb until 2021 at the earliest.
