Mats Hummels ruled out of Dortmund's clash with Brugge
Mats Hummels will not be involved when Borussia Dortmund face Club Brugge in the Champions League on Wednesday.
Borussia Dortmund will be without Mats Hummels for their Champions League clash with Club Brugge on Wednesday.
Hummels is sidelined with a thigh problem sustained in Saturday's 2-0 win over Arminia Bielefeld.
"Unfortunately Mats Hummels will not be available tomorrow," Dortmund coach Lucien Favre confirmed on Tuesday.
He added that Dortmund still hope the centre-back will be fit for Saturday's top-of-the-table encounter with Bayern München.
Meanwhile, it's unclear if Erling Haaland will be fit enough to play on Wednesday after missing last week's win over Bielefeld.
"We don't know anything about Erling’s status yet. But if he were to be unavailable we have a lot of strong offensive alternative," said Favre.
