Borussia Dortmund captain Marco Reus has apologized to his teammates after squandering several big chances, including a miss from the penalty spot, in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Mainz.
"I have to apologize to the team. In the first half, I had a huge chance to make it 1-0 and then in the second half with the penalty kick," Reus told reporters after the game and added:
"I could have decided the game. I wasn't able to do that today, I'm sorry."
