With Matchday 23 behind us, Bulinews Editor-in-Chief Rune Gjerulff has selected his Team of the Week, which lines up in a 4-1-4-1 formation:

Goalkeeper:

Frederik Rønnow, Union Berlin

Union Berlin were the only Bundesliga side to keep a clean sheet over the weekend, beating Bayer Leverkusen 1–0. Rønnow was a reliable presence in goal, making three key saves to secure the victory.

Defenders:

Josip Stanisic, FC Bayern

The full-back delivered a strong performance, completing 88% of his passes and providing an assist. He also won six of eight duels, showing both defensive solidity and attacking support

Ozan Kabak, Hoffenheim

The in-form centre-back got on the scoresheet again while dominating defensively, winning nine duels for the ball.

Grant Wahl, St. Pauli

Wahl produced a solid defensive display, winning all seven of his duels and completing 90% of his passes while also getting on the scoresheet.

David Raum, RB Leipzig

Leipzig’s captain put in a spirited performance against Borussia Dortmund, creating four key passes and registering an assist.

Midfielders:

Christian Eriksen, Wolfsburg

The Danish veteran controlled Wolfsburg’s midfield, completing 92% of his passes and providing an assist. Unfortunately for Die Wölfe, it wasn’t enough to secure a point.

Michael Olise, FC Bayern

Although he wasn't directly involved in a goal against Eintracht Frankfurt, Olise’s impact was massive. He produced 1.11 xA, made five key passes and contributed 0.35 xG, constantly driving Bayern’s attacking play.

Said El Mala, 1. FC Köln

The young attacking midfielder was a handful for Hoffenheim, scoring a goal and providing an assist.

Christoph Baumgartner, RB Leipzig

Baumgartner stepped up again in front of goal, scoring both of Leipzig’s goals against Borussia Dortmund.

Yan Diomande, RB Leipzig

The Ivorian winger delivered another stunning display, troubling Dortmund’s defense all game with his mazy dribbles and providing a brilliant assist.

Strikers:

Harry Kane, FC Bayern

Kane led Bayern to victory over Eintracht Frankfurt with a decisive brace, showing his lethal finishing once again.
