RB Salzburg coach Jesse Marsch admits he would be keen on becoming RB Leipzig head coach in the future amid reports that he could succeed Julian Nagelsmann at the Bundesliga club.

Asked about the rumors that he could take over from Julian Nagelsmann, who is being touted as a possible replacement for Bayern München coach Hansi Flick, Marsch told Sky (via Goal.com):

"Of course I understand the club very well. If you ask me what would fit best, RB Leipzig is of course a top idea.

"Julian Nagelsmann is doing a great job and there is currently no reason for Leipzig to look for a new coach.

"But if I can have the opportunity as a coach in Leipzig, then that's a great idea for me."

Marsch spent a season working as an assistant for Ralf Rangnick at RB Leipzig before taking charge of RB Salzburg in 2019. His contract with the Austrian champions expires in 2022.
