Liverpool are showing serious interest in RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande, according to Bild.

The German tabloid reports that Reds scouts were in attendance for Leipzig’s 2-2 draw with Wolfsburg on Sunday to watch the 19-year-old, who scored his team’s opening goal.

Leipzig have previously made it clear that they want to keep Diomande for another season, but if the Ivorian continues to perform at his current level, retaining him could prove difficult.

At Liverpool, Diomande could potentially help fill the void left by Mohamed Salah, should the 33-year-old depart Anfield Road in the summer.

The youngster recently revealed a special connection with the Anfield club.

"It’s my father’s favorite club. It was always his dream to see me play there one day because he loves the atmosphere at Anfield Road," Diomande told Bild.

"I have a lot of respect for Liverpool, but my dream club right now is Leipzig."

Reports suggest that Leipzig could demand up to €100 million for Diomande, who has also attracted interest from several other European giants, including FC Bayern, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Arsenal.
