Schalke 04 are said to be closing in on the signing of Darmstadt's Victor Palsson.
The relegated Bundesliga side are ready to pay €500,000 to acquire the services of the 30-year-old defensive midfielder with only a few minor details left to be ironed out, according to Bild.
Palsson, whose contract expires in 2022, has made 22 appearances for Darmstadt this season, racking up three goals and an assist.
Schalke have already announced the signings of Danny Latza and Simon Terodde, who will make the switch to Gelsenkirchen on free transfers from Mainz and Hamburger SV respectively.
