Bundesliga side FC Union Berlin have signed Genki Haraguchi on a free transfer from second-tier outfit Hannover 96.

"Genki Haraguchi is a player, who has known German football for several years and has convinced us with his performances," said Union Berlin managing director for professional football Oliver Ruhnert.

"He is a technically skilled, often goal-scoring footballer who can bring us creativity and ball security. That's why we are delighted that he has decided to join us."

The former Hertha BSC winger scored nine goals and made seven assists in 36 games for Hannover 96 during the 2020/21 campaign.
