Lothar Matthäus, however, would prefer to see Chelsea's Timo Werner in the starting eleven at the expense of Gnabry.
"The line-up will be almost identical to the one in the friendly against Latvia. I think Löw will put Gnabry in his starting eleven, but I would bring on Werner instead. In the end, the coach is spoiled for choice in midfielder and attack. Whether Sané or Havertz plays is a luxury issue," Matthäus wrote in his column for Sky and went on to sing the praises of Germany's upcoming opponent.
"The title can only go to France. Anything else would be a surprise. Kanté and Mbappé alone are top class players and the rest are also really good. Still, I'm expecting a 1-1 draw," stated the former German international.
