Schmadtke reacts angrily to RB Leipzig's continued interest in Lacroix

Maxence Lacoix will stay at Wolfsburg 'whether RB Leipzig accepts it or not,' says Jörg Schmadtke.
VfL Wolfsburg managing director for sport Jörg Schmadtke has reiterated that Maxence Lacroix will not be going anywhere this summer despite continued interest from RB Leipzig.

After plenty of speculation over Lacroix's future, Schmadtke finally ruled out a transfer a few week ago when he made it clear that the 21-year-old would be staying at Volkswagen Arena.

RB Leipzig bosses Jesse Marsch and Oliver Mintzlaff then went out and said that they remained hopeful of acquiring the highly-rated French centre-back, but Schmadtke insists he is not going to change his opinion in this regard.

"That remains the state of affairs - whether RB Leipzig accepts it or not," underlined the Wolfsburg chief in an interview with Sportbuzzer.

According to reports, Wolfsburg have already turned down to bids for the centre-back from RB Leipzig.
