1. Moved to Germany at the age of 16
Jacob Bruun Larsen left Danish club Lyngby BK to join Borussia Dortmund in January 2015 at the age of 16. Bruun Larsen was signed before he got the chance to make his first team debut for Lyngby, and the interest in him was huge. "That Jacob is an exciting player is underlined by the fact that he has been chased by more or less all big clubs in Denmark and a large number of European clubs," Birger Jørgensen, at the time head of talent at Lyngby BK, said after Bruun Larsen was sold.

2. Represented Denmark at the Olympics
Bruun Larsen is currently a Danish under-21 international, and he has represented his country at all youth levels. In 2016, he played for Denmark at the Olympics, appearing in all of his country's four games with one assist to his name. If he continues his impressive development, a call-up to the Danish senior team will surely also come eventually.

3. Won the under-19 championship twice
Jacob Bruun Larsen was part of the Dortmund team that won the under-19 championship in 2015/16 as well as 2016/17. In his second season for the team, the Dane scored 20 goals and made 13 assists in just 17 appearances.

4. Asked to leave
Bruun Larsen spent the second half of last season on loan at VfB Stuttgart without much success, and when the youngster returned to Borussia Dortmund in the summer, he was prepared to leave the club according to Bild. However, BVB sporting director Michael Zorc wanted to give Bruun Larsen a second opportunity - and the young Dane seized the chance and impressed head coach Lucien Favre during pre-season.

5. Fluent in German
Bruun Larsen is often complimented for his ability to speak German fluently. So how did he get so good at it? "Hard work! I wasn't that good in school. But when I came here, I took a lot of German lessons and worked hard for it," Bruun Larsen recently told BVB.tv.
