Kicker Report: After delay, Wendell in Porto for medical
After remaining in Germany to attend the birth of his child on Tuesday and training one last time with his Leverkusen colleagues on Wednesday, German footballing magazine Kicker reports that veteran Bundesliga fullback Wendell traveled to Porto on Thursday to complete the medical for his transfer.
In an article appearing on the magazine's website, van Nocks speaks of a fee between €4 and €5 million; extra cash that would prove most helpful in the club's pursuit of some additional attacking assistance to offset Leon Bailey's departure.
The article also states that, as has been speculated, Mitchell Weiser is set to receive an outright release.
