Niklas Dorsch to depart 1.FC Heidenheim for Toronto FC

The German midfielder is expected to switch to the MLS with the Canadian based outfit.

1.FC Heidenheim midfielder Niklas Dorsch is reportedly heading for a new challenge in Major League Soccer this summer.

Toronto FC have reached an agreement with Heidenheim to sign the 28-year-old midfielder on a permanent basis.

It's believed the deal reportedly worth around $4.3million (€3.8million) and set to run for five years per transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano. 

The clubs are still finalizing the documentation, but the move would mark a major new chapter in Dorsch’s career.

Dorsch came through Bayern Munich's academy and went to to play for Heidenheim, Gent and FC Augsburg.

During his time in Germany he made more than 100 Bundesliga appearances, but looks set for a challenge abroad aged 28.
