Plettenberg and Romano: Hoffenheim successfully hijack Hlozek's move to Leicester

Both German transfer expert Florian Plettenberg and Italian transfer guru Fabrizio Romano are currently reporting that TSG 1899 Hoffenheim have beaten out Leicester City in the race to acquire Leverkusen striker Adam Hlozek.

After a Friday medical, Hlozek's permanent transfer to Kraichgau should be confirmed quickly. The 22-year-old will cost the TSG approximately €17-18 million.

A confirmed long-term injury to attacker Ihlas Bebou earlier today led to the quick surfacing of rumors surrounding Czech striker Adam Hlozek moving to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. Now two reliable sources are reporting that the Sinsheimers have outmaneuvered Leicester City in the quest to secure the 22-year-old's services. Sky Germany's Florian Plettenberg and Italian transfer guru Fabrizio Romano both claim that a move to Kraichgau is imminent.

Hlozek is apparently due in Sinsheim on Friday for a medical. Plettenberg speaks of a permanent move for approximately €17-18 million. Romano reports that Hlozek himself nixed a move to the foxes after a loan with a €20 million purchase obligation was agreed to. Hlozek scored seven goals and registered five assists in 36 appearances across all competitions for the league and cup winners last season.
