Sky Sports and Kicker report Daisuke Yokota is on the verge of joining Rangers from Hannover 96. The Japanese winger was previously linked with a move to SC Paderborn, but the newly promoted team saw multiple offers rejected by Hannover.
According to Sky, the transfer fee will now be €3 million plus bonuses and resale percentage. Yokota made it clear long ago that he wanted to leave the club, but Hannover looked to recoup their €2 million investment in the player by signing him from Gent this summer.
During his initial loan spell, Yokota scored five goals and assisted four times in 30 games. Hannover missed out on a Bundesliga promotion on the last day as they will now start their 2. Bundesliga campaign this weekend.
