The medical check of Fisnik Asllani ahead of a move to RB Leipzig will start on Thursday, according to Sky Sports. The pay-TV channel reported on Wednesday night that the player received the green light from TSG Hoffenheim to complete the move.
The Kosovan international will sign a contract with his new club until 2031, with the transfer fee reportedly set at around €25 million. Sky Sports also cited Leipzig’s local outlet Leipziger Volkszeitung reported the move on Wednesday.
Asllani had his breakthrough season in 2025/26 with 10 goals and 7 assists to help Hoffenheim return to European football. Borussia Dortmund and FC Barcelona were heavily linked with him earlier this summer, but RB Leipzig won the race to add another attacking prospect to their ranks.
The former Germany youth international was absent from Hoffenheim’s training camps to not put the transfer at risk. RB Leipzig will be expected to sanction Yan Diomande’s mega transfer to Real Madrid for over €100 million in the coming days.
