Stuttgart confirm new loan for Perea
After spending the season on loan with relegated 2. Bundesliga side Hansa Rostock, 24-year-old Colombian striker Juan José Perea is now headed to Switzerland on loan for the coming season. Bundesliga runners-up VfB Stuttgart confirmed a fresh loan-out for the former Porto academy man late Monday. To date, Perea has made 16 top flight appearances for his parent club, scoring one goal on match-day 23 of the 2022/23 Bundesliga campaign.
VfB sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth called Perea's next loan-out "a sensible step" for the player in a club statement. Perea scored four goals and three assists for the Hanseatic "Kogge" in the German second division last season. His estimated market worth - at its peak in September of 2022 - was once €2.4 million. At present, he maintains an estimated €800,000 market worth in the latest transfermarkt update.
"I'm very happy because I'm joining a big team with a lot of titles," the forward noted in a video released by his new club, "I'm ready and very motivated. I want to work hard and score a lot of goals."
