Undav discusses possibility of staying at Stuttgart

Deniz Undav has reiterated that he'd like to stay at VfB Stuttgart beyond the summer.

Deniz Undav has been a revelation for VfB Stuttgart this season, scoring 18 goals and providing 10 assists in 30 Bundesliga appearances on loan from Brighton & Hove Albion.

Whether Stuttgart will be able to make the loan deal permanent is up in the air, but Undav is certainly keen to stay. He reiterated this at a press conference at the Germany camp on Wednesday.

“Nothing is certain in life, but I hope I can stay there,” Undav told reporters.

"The talks are ongoing, I've clearly expressed my wish, now we just have to wait and see"."

Undav also reflected on the role he expects to play for Germany at the Euros, saying:

"I had a talk about my role with Julian Nagelsmann in March, which was also very good. He knows which positions he can use me in - as a striker and as a number 10.

“Now I have to work hard in training and make sure I get playing time,” said the striker.
