Daniel Peretz will be unavailable for Bayern Munich until further notice, the Bundesliga giants announced on Wednesday evening.

The 24-year-old goalkeeper suffered a kidney contusion in training on Wednesday and will undergo further tests on Thursday.

Peretz started Bayern's last five games of 2024 while Manuel Neuer was sidelined with a broken rib and Sven Ulreich was absent for personal reasons.

The Israel international also played in Monday's 6-0 friendly win over Salzburg, but Bayern are hopeful of having Neuer back for Saturday's Bundesliga clash with Gladbach after the 38-year-old resumed full training on Wednesday.

AZ recently reported that Peretz's performances have led to him becoming Bayern's second choice goalkeeper, ahead of Sven Ulreich.
