Werder Bremen have rejected an initial bid from TSG Hoffenheim for Jens Stage, according to Bild and Deichstube.

Hoffenheim’s reported €9 million offer was promptly turned down by the Green-Whites, with Deichstube claiming that it was met with “irritation,” as it fell well below the club’s asking price.

Werder are said to be holding out for at least €15 million for the 29-year-old midfielder, who is already reported to have agreed personal terms with Hoffenheim.

Stage’s contract with Werder Bremen runs until the summer of 2028. He was the club’s top scorer in the 2025/26 season with 10 goals.
