Report: Bayern close to agreeing Palhinha deal with Fulham

Sportbuzzer reports that Bayern Munich are on the verge of reaching an agreement with Fulham to sign Joao Palhinha.

Bayern Munich are closing in on the signing of Joao Palhinha from Fulham.

After it was reported on Friday that Bayern had agreed personal terms with the 28-year-old, Sportbuzzer claims that the Bavarians are on the verge of agreeing a deal with Fulham.

A transfer fee of €40-45 million for the defensive midfielder is reportedly being discussed.

New Bayern coach Vincent Kompany is understood to have held talks with the Portugal international.

Bayern came close to signing Palhinha last summer, but the transfer collapsed because Fulham couldn't bring in a suitable replacement before the transfer window closed.

The 28-year-old defensive midfielder made 39 appearances for Fulham in the 2023/24 season, scoring four goals and providing one assist. He's part of Portugal's squad for Euro 2024.
