Berger and Romano offer conflicting reports on Brunner to Monaco deal
Sky Germany's Patrick Berger, however, contravenes Romano and insists that no agreement has been reached yet.
Westphalia's "Ruhr Nachrichten" newspaper confirms Berger's claim. It does appear as if a deal will take more time.

The latest on the potential sale of 18-year-old center forward Paris Brunner to AS Monaco yields conflicting reports. Italian transfer guru Fabrizio Romano reports that Dortmund have accepted a €3 million offer (potentially rising to €5 million with bonuses) for the Germany U17 World Champion. Monaco will then, as previously reported, immediately loan the teenage talent out to Cercle Brugge.
Veteran German football reporter Patrick Berger nevertheless denies this report. Writing on social media platform X Friday evening, the Sky Germany journalist insists that Dortmund were not satisfied with the offer and are seeking a base-transfer-fee of at least €5 million. There is also talk of a buyback option and a re-sale clause.
Westphalia's "Ruhr Nachrichten" newspaper aligns itself with Berger. The tough details associated with buyback options and re-sale clauses certainly threaten to, at best stall the deal for another few weeks. Brunner's sale could also still collapse outright. Despite all of this, Romano claims Brunner will sign with the principality club next week.
